Jude Broughan graduated from the School of Visual Arts, and has exhibited in New York and internationally and maintains a studio in Brooklyn. Her work is generally modest in scale and often employs multiple processes and materials, its fragmented look casts human idiosyncrasies in a celebratory light. Her sculptures, paintings, mixed-media works and artist books trace a fascination with ideas around travel and home, sustenance and growth, fallibility and imperfection.
